- Identify young people most at risk of disengagement
Speaks for itself really. - Strengthen employability
This is not necessarily about equipping with skills. Young people need the discipline that comes from working. i.e. Be in work by 9, work until 5, no smoking, no swearing in work etc…. - Social change
We need to engage with the community and change attitudes towards young people. They get blamed for a lot without recourse. - Experiential learning
The best sort of learning. - Involvement in the political arena
Seriously we need to start training the future MPs. We need young people from all backgrounds to get involved in politics. I think we need working class politicians. - Think globally
Young people coming together from all around the world. - Water challenge
Not the stupidity that was the pouring of water over heads. What a waste and really did nothing to help young people understand the water challenges. We need these guys to build wells and bring water to communities. - Education
Currently our educational focus is in schools. Informal education takes place everywhere. We need to build in more opportunities for informal education. - Decision making
Young people need to be encouraged to be involved in decision making. Empowering young people to run their own lives and make decisions…. Not to exclude adults but to invite them into the decision making.
