Community Organising is bringing people together, to take action and to address concerns in their local community.

It involves listening to people and to local groups. To find out what causes your community pain and what things your community wants to fight for.

It is about the community organiser building relationships, building trust and building networks. It is about raising up leaders and understanding who are your allies and who wants to cause trouble.

It is not about the community organiser doing the work, it is about the community being encouraged and supported into action.

It is about taking time to know your community.
