Ever feel a little awkward talking about your faith? Like you’re the only one who believes, or that people will judge you? Romans 1:16 is a POWERFUL reminder: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes…” The Apostle Paul wasn’t ashamed, and neither should we be!
The gospel – the good news about Jesus – isn’t something to hide. It’s not something to be embarrassed about. It’s the very power of God that can change lives! It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what you’ve done. If you believe in Jesus, this promise is for YOU.
Think about it: God’s love is so big, so amazing, that He sent His Son to die for us. That’s incredible! Why would we keep that kind of news to ourselves? Sharing your faith doesn’t have to be some big, scary speech. It can be as simple as living your life in a way that shows you follow Jesus. It can be talking to a friend who’s going through a tough time and offering to pray for them. It’s about letting your light shine!
Don’t let fear hold you back. God is with you. He gives you the strength and the words when you need them. Be bold. Be brave. Be unashamed!
Prayer
Jesus, thank you for your amazing love and the gift of salvation. Help me to be bold and unashamed of the gospel. Give me the courage to share my faith with others, not out of obligation, but out of love. Amen.
