Ever feel like you’re surrounded by noise? Phones buzzing, friends chatting, your own thoughts swirling – it can be hard to hear anything else. In Mark 4:9, Jesus says, “Whoever has ears to hear had better listen!” He’s not just talking about physical ears, but about our hearts. He wants us to tune in to His voice, which can sometimes be a whisper in the middle of all the chaos.
Think about it: how often do we really listen to God? Do we take time to read our Bibles, pray, and just be still? It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, but Jesus is inviting us to something deeper. He wants to connect with us, guide us, and show us amazing things. But we have to be willing to listen.
So, how do we tune in? Start small. Maybe it’s spending a few minutes each day reading a verse or talking to God. Maybe it’s finding a quiet place where you can just think and listen. The important thing is to make the effort. God is always speaking; we just need to learn to listen.
Prayer
Jesus, help me to hear your voice above all the noise in my life. Give me the desire to spend time with you and learn from you. Open my ears and my heart to your truth. Amen.
