Ever feel like you’ve messed up too much to even talk to God? Like you’re too far gone, or your problems are too big? Hebrews 4:16 has some awesome news: “Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.” That word “confidently” is key. It means we don’t have to be perfect, or have it all together, to come to God. He wants us to come to Him, just as we are.
Think of it like this: God’s throne isn’t some scary, unreachable place. It’s a throne of grace. Grace means getting what we don’t deserve – forgiveness, love, and help. And it’s always available. Whenever we need it – whether it’s a small thing or a huge crisis – we can go to God. He’s not going to turn us away. He’s waiting for us with open arms, ready to pour out His mercy and grace.
So, whatever you’re going through, don’t hesitate. Don’t think you need to clean yourself up first. Just go to God. He’s there for you.
Prayer
Jesus, thank you that I can come to you anytime, with anything. Thank you for your grace and mercy. Help me to remember that you are always there, ready to help me. Give me the courage to approach you confidently, knowing that you love me. Amen.
