Life throws a lot at us, doesn’t it? Choices, distractions, and sometimes it feels like everyone’s heading in one direction. Jesus, though, gives us a clear picture in Matthew 7:13-14: there’s a wide gate and an easy road that leads to destruction, and a narrow gate and difficult road that leads to life.
It’s tempting to follow the crowd, to take the easy way. But Jesus calls us to something different. He calls us to the narrow path, the one that might be challenging, but ultimately leads to true life and fulfilment. It’s about choosing His way, even when it’s not popular or comfortable.
Don’t be discouraged if it feels tough sometimes. The narrow path is worth it! Keep your eyes on Jesus, lean on His strength, and surround yourself with others who are walking the same path.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for showing us the way to true life. Please give us the courage to choose the narrow path, even when it’s difficult. Help us to stay focused on you, and to find strength in your love. Surround us with good friends and mentors who will encourage us on our journey. We ask for your guidance and wisdom as we navigate the choices before us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
