Just watched a video from Project Kamp. And they have a very simple but effective way of measuring there housing situation. They call it Housing Levels and I think it is very effective. Maybe something our planners could look at?
Level 1
Temporary housing – tents and vans and caravans. Temporary structures that you put somewhere and can take down and move easily. These structures don’t need require any legal paperwork.
Level 2
Something like a shipping container. Semi-permanent. You place it on the land and live in it. Not as complex as a house. Still has a temporary nature to it but a bit more comfort and structure. Something you could live in all year round.
Level 3
Full house build complete with all the legal permissions needed.
I’ve linked to the video below and it starts at the housing levels on the video. By the way, please subscribe to them, they want a million subscribers and there message and way of life is important to hear.
