Seriously….

But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do,
what God is looking for in men and women.
It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour,
be compassionate and loyal in your love,
And don’t take yourself too seriously—
take God seriously.

Get this, get that. God’s plan was simple – live simply. God wants us to have a contented life maybe not an easy one, just a contented one. We grab at that or we grab at this. If I just have this, I’ll be happier. You’ll be happy when you live simply and do what God asks you to do. Don’t take yourself too seriously.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
