I can’t stand your religious meetings. I’m fed up with your conferences and conventions. I want nothing to do with your religion projects, your pretentious slogans and goals. I’m sick of your fund-raising schemes, your public relations and image making. I’ve had all I can take of your noisy ego-music. When was the last time you sang to me? Do you know what I want? I want justice—oceans of it. I want fairness—rivers of it. That’s what I want. That’s all I want.
Amos 5:24 MSG
Does the world seem unfair to you? It does to me, I think of all those acts of evil that go unpunished. It seems wrong. But it doesn’t go unpunished because there will be a day when all sinners will face the day of judgement. It is not a popular thought and that is because sinners don’t want to face this day, they don’t want to face God and account for all their wrong actions.
If you have invited Christ into your life then you do not face this day, your sins have been wiped clean and Jesus will be your advocate. If you don’t know Jesus this is the time to invite him in.
Lord Jesus, at the cost of your life on a hill you created you chose to die on a tree you had brought to life.
Your death saved my life and it can save others to, help us all to come to know you and your forgiveness.
On the day of judgement may I know your advocacy as you speak up for me on the day of judgement. Amen
