The Setting
Daniel and his friends were Jewish, but they were captured by the Babylonian king and taken to live in Babylon, a powerful empire. The king wanted them to learn the Babylonian ways, but Daniel and his friends stayed true to their faith in God.
Daniel’s Dreams and Visions
God gave Daniel the amazing ability to understand dreams and visions. The king had a strange dream, and none of his wise men could figure it out. But Daniel, with God’s help, interpreted the dream, revealing the future of the Babylonian empire. This impressed the king so much that he made Daniel a top leader.
The Fiery Furnace and the Lions’ Den
Even though Daniel became a powerful leader, he always stayed faithful to God. This got him into some dangerous situations! Daniel and his friends refused to worship the king’s idols, so they were thrown into a fiery furnace. But God miraculously protected them!
Later, Daniel was thrown into a den of lions because he wouldn’t stop praying to God. But guess what? God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths, and Daniel was safe!
