“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2
C.S.Lewis summed it up perfectly. “Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it.” When Isaiah declares God is my salvation, it is not because Isaiah did anything right, it is because God chose do make things right.
Today, you are perfectly in his hands, trust those hands and declare, “I will trust and not be afraid.”
I arise today
Through a mighty strength:
God’s power to guide me,
God’s might to uphold me,
God’s eyes to watch over me;
God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to give me speech,
God’s hand to guard me,
God’s way to lie before me,
God’s shield to shelter me,
God’s host to secure me.
Amen.
