Wisdom

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Matthew 7:24 – ESV

The challenge here is not in these verses but in all the verses before these. Jesus has just finished the sermon on the mount full of much wisdom and he says, “Whoever hears these words…” So off you go and read the sermon on the mount and now live your life like that. It is full of much wisdom and with the power of the Holy Spirit you will have very strong foundations to build your life.

O come, Thou Wisdom from on high,
Who orders all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And teach us in her ways to go.
