Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see – how good God is.

As Matthew Henry puts it, “God never said seek me in vain!” By taste and light we make new discoveries. Taste is the earliest sensation that we get as babies and for us it is also a way we get enjoyment. Take notice of God’s goodness and take comfort in it. The things of this world will not taste as good as God’s.

Like a hammock we can lay back into the arms of God and then enjoy the drink that is placed alongside us.

Almighty God,
every good thing comes from you.
