In Christ alone do I stand. I can do nothing without him and his blessing. How true this is both physical and spiritually. It is hard to keep on his path but if I stray I know fairly quickly and God is always there waiting to guide me back on. Our journey took us yesterday to some beautiful woodlands. It was magical. For 17 years we have been on a journey to building a place of retreat for young people and these woodlands would be awesome but there was that tug that said not these and not yet. I could ignore the tug but I know waiting on God is important. In his time and in his place. There is a time for action but today is not the day for us.
God, the one and only—
I’ll wait as long as he says.
Everything I need comes from him,
so why not?
He’s solid rock under my feet,
breathing room for my soul,
An impregnable castle:
I’m set for life.God, the one and only—
Psalm 62 v 1-2 & 5-6 The Message
I’ll wait as long as he says.
Everything I hope for comes from him,
so why not?
He’s solid rock under my feet,
breathing room for my soul,
An impregnable castle:
I’m set for life.
My soul waits for the Lord
more than those
who watch for the morning,
more than those
who watch for the morning.

Call: Out of the depths I have cried to You.
Response: O Lord, hear my voice.
Call: With my whole heart I want to praise You.
Response: O Lord, hear my voice.
Call: If you, Lord, should mark iniquities:
Response: Who could stand? who could stand?

I will wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in His word do I hope.
