He will and he is coming back – soon. But we don’t get to know the time.
He told them, “You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business. What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”
Acts 1 v 7 – 8
We might not know when, what we do know is our mission/calling – evangelism. We need to be serious about fulfilling this calling because it affects the timing above.
“Staying with it—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved. All during this time, the good news—the Message of the kingdom—will be preached all over the world, a witness staked out in every country. And then the end will come.”
Matthew 24 v 13 – 14
If you want Jesus to come back sooner, focus on fulfilling your mission. We need to live lives committed to worship, fellowship, prayer and reading our Bible’s but also lives committed to ministry and mission. Then Jesus will return.
