Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Romans 8 v 26-28
There are so many books written about prayer and so many amazing insights. At the end of the day they all encourage you to do one thing – pray. And this doesn’t even suggest we use words, it says the Holy Spirit interprets our groans and turns them into prayers.
My daily struggles through life are heard as I struggle to a job I don’t like doing, as I live my aches before God with sighs my words would fail to turn into words. God counts the hairs on my head and says I know you. Far better than you will ever know yourself. I have plans for you, the verses echo throughout the Bible of God’s powerful love for us. We do not even need to ask, we simply groan.
