Share Your Harvest, Feed Your Community
Do you have a passion for growing fresh, delicious produce? Do you sometimes find yourself with more fruits and vegetables than you can use? Fowey River Academy needs your help!
We’re reaching out to generous gardeners and allotment holders across our community to donate their excess produce to a wonderful cause. Your donations will help us provide nutritious food to families in need in Par, St Blazey, Lostwithiel, and Fowey and surrounding area.
Working Together to Make a Difference
This initiative builds on the success of our Christmas food box campaign, a collaboration between Fowey River Academy and Anchor Anglican Church. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to bring festive cheer to many families in need. Now, we want to extend this support throughout the year.
From Our Farm to Your Table
At Fowey River Academy, we’re also busy planting and growing on our school farm. The produce we harvest will be shared with local families and used to feed students who visit the farm for educational activities.
How You Can Help
If you have surplus fruits, vegetables, or herbs from your garden or allotment, we would be incredibly grateful for your donations. Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Join Our Growing Community!
We’re also excited to announce plans for a Locals Gardening Club at the Fowey River Academy farm during the summer months. This will be a fantastic opportunity to:
- Share your gardening knowledge and learn new skills.
- Connect with other passionate gardeners.
- Contribute to a meaningful community project.
