The above is a detailed picture of the prostate. I recently had mine examined and discovered a small trace of cancer. With my history it has been decided to remove the prostate. I am dying but probably won’t die of Prostate cancer so there isn’t any great worry. It plays with your head though and you end up with some sleepless nights but the real worry. The real area of concern – about 2 weeks after the op you have the wee tube removed and you then have to allow your bladder time to get back into weeing mode! It can take a while and while it ain’t happening I’ll be wearing a nappy! All these years out of nappies and I’m back into them!
Anyway, at this point in your life you take time out and think about what is missing, what you haven’t done and to be honest I am very happy with who I am. I could be a better husband and certainly a better dad but the one thing that is missing in my life is……..

Joking aside Abi and I have been watching some Bear Grylls videos and thoroughly enjoying them. The guy is a total nutter and we probably won’t be jumping out of a plane and standing in stupidly fast rivers to prove a point but we will be buying some bivvy bags and a canteen and kipping out in the middle of deepest Cornwall. That is what life is about, creating and sharing memories. Not sure we need the canteen for it but it provides a connection with a real life hero of ours… Bear Grylls.
