Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
Proverbs 3:5 The Message (MSG)
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Today of all days I challenge you to take a chance. Jump right in with abandonment and give it a go.
We often wait to long and the chance is gone…… Don’t live with regret, go for it.
I have several hero’s in life, Jesus is my primary focus and I try to live to His standards – fail miserably but I give it a go. But I also have two other hero’s, Smith Wigglesworth and George Muller. It is George Muller who I write about today.
The guy is amazing and did something beautiful for the children and city of Bristol. He saved countless lives and gave an amazing amount of children a home. It all started when he saw the plight of one child and he asked God can’t you do something about this. God said, “I have…. it’s you.” What a calling? And George Muller got up and answered that calling.
Read about George Muller’s life and be inspired.
Today you might not be asked to save a life, to set up a homeless organisation. It might be as simple as saying hello. The effect of that hello will never be known… In my experience it is generally huge.
Holy One
Who has given us the breath of life
Today we remember to
Breathe deeply
To rest
To take in
To pause
Before we act…
And then to take in another deep breath poised on the edge
And risk jumping in
Risk taking action
Risk speaking up
Risk using the gifts we have been given
So that at the end of our life we can say with absolute clarity that
No part of our existence was wasted in fear of failure
Or fear of success.
Hold us,
Prepare us the way to begin to offer the gift of our
Awakened presence
Full of love and light today.
These and the prayers of our hearts we lift up now
In the silence…
Amen
